What's New in 2024?
Our U.S. Insurance Shopping Study has been enhanced! While the study continues to provide subscribers with the critical shopping and purchase experience insights they're used to, we have completed a redesign for 2024 to both improve the respondent experience and subsequent response rates among insurance shoppers and to streamline analytics for clarity and efficiency.
With the full study publish on April 23, we're excited to share:
- We've implemented a new 6 point scale
- And we've added new topics to contemporize insights and help you stay on top of emerging trends

This year's study will explore and provide subscribers insight into the incidence of quoting and purchasing through third-party companies
Preferred Insurer before Shopping Began
This year we take a closer look at whether there was an insurance provider already in mind when the shopping process began, why that particular provider was of interest, and how they performed vis-à-vis competitors in the shopping experience and acquisition funnel
Embedded Insurance
This year we ask respondents about their interest in purchasing insurance directly at the dealership or automobile manufacturer when purchasing a vehicle and the impressions of price, quality, and service of purchasing insurance in this way
Usage Based Insurance
We dig deeper into both the interest in and current use of UBI and if the shopper receives a discount by using UBI
Electric Vehicles
We take a look at the perceptions of the cost of insuring EVs and the differences in coverages between EVs and traditional vehicles
