Breanne Armstrong is a Director in the Global Insurance Intelligence Group at J.D. Power. Her area of focus is on the customer experience in auto, property, and individual life insurance and annuities. She has over 15 years of research and consulting experience and 7 combined years at J.D. Power working within the Insurance Practice.

Prior to rejoining J.D. Power in 2023,  Breanne worked at Escalent, an  award-winning data analytics and advisory firm, as an Insights Director for 4 years, heading up custom projects for clients in the Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management, and Health Insurance industries. Following her time at Escalent, she worked as a Senior Director at Reach3 Insights, a full-service market research consultancy that develops scalable and conversational insight solutions, for 2 years. Her focus was on the technology and gaming industries, and she worked with some of the biggest names in the technology sector. Through her custom research experience, she gained expertise in a variety of research methodologies and analytical approaches, including segmentation, product development, pricing, ad and message testing, brand health, journey mapping, and qualitative research.

During her time at Escalent, Breanne was part of a team recognized for their work with Merrill Lynch, a project titled “Seeing the Unseen: The Role Gender Plays in Wealth Management,” and obtained the following awards: 2021 ARF (Advertising Research Foundation) Great Mind Awards Future Forward Award, 2021 Quirk’s Media Awards Groundbreaking Research Project Award, and 2021 ARF David Ogilvy Award in Brand Purpose – Gold.

Breanne graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from Western Michigan University. She earned a master’s degree in public administration, with honors, from Wayne State.
