Timothy Flacke is Executive Director and Co-Founder of Commonwealth, a national non-profit organization that builds financial security and opportunity for underserved people through innovation and partnerships. Tim helped launch Commonwealth in 2001 and has served on the organization’s board of directors since that time, drawing on thirty years’ experience in the social, public and private sectors. 

Under his leadership, Commonwealth has helped shape the financial services, workplace and federal tax systems to better serve vulnerable people.  Collaborating with leading corporations, policymakers, entrepreneurs and community advocates, Commonwealth has advanced creative solutions for financial security, helped bring new savings and financial resilience tools to market, and changed enabling federal and state policy.  This work has helped hundreds of thousands of low and moderate income people to save billions of dollars.

Tim holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College.
