Michael Buckingham leads the Power Information Network (PIN) Automotive Finance Practice in the US and Canada. He represents J.D. Power within the automotive finance industry and provides lender clients with strategic direction on how to create products that focus on key measures, including price, risk, advance and term. Michael has been in the indirect auto financing industry for more than 30 years. Prior to joining J.D. Power in 2013, he was the President & CEO of Hyundai Capital America, the financing arm for Hyundai and Kia Motors. He also held several senior positions at Bank One, Chrysler Financial and Citicorp Acceptance.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Houston.
