* Beginning with 2022 Volume 1, the Sprint brand will no longer be ranked or included in the J.D. Power Wireless studies (all studies on the Wireless Carrier Satisfaction Platform and in the Wireless Business Satisfaction Study). On April 1, 2020, T-Mobile announced the merger with Sprint. During the transition period as these two companies integrated, Sprint was ranked as a separate brand (as is typical during the integration period of mergers and acquisitions). For all brands involved in mergers and acquisitions, J.D. Power Research Science reviews the status of each brand prior to fielding each study. Based upon the findings and the fact that it has been publicly communicated that the process of discontinuing the Sprint brand started in August 2020, it has been determined that the Sprint brand is no longer actively marketed to consumers and that Sprint products and services are no longer being offered to prospective customers. As a result, Sprint will no longer be ranked or included in J.D. Power’s Wireless studies. Respondents who identify Sprint as their carrier will not be surveyed.
