Jennifer Hoolehan Kyung

Jen Kyung is a highly respected P&C Underwriting Executive and thought leader with over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jen is currently the CEO and Founder of NextGen Underwriting where she is focused on delivering industry thought leadership, advisory and consulting to Property & Casualty underwriting teams and solution providers. 

Most recently, she served as the P&C Chief Underwriter at USAA, where she was responsible for underwriting strategy and performance, as well as new capability development. Prior to that, Jen was a Managing Director at Ernst & Young, focusing on strategic solutions for P&C carriers, and held various leadership roles at Zurich North America, contributing to commercial lines underwriting quality and operational excellence.

In addition to her corporate roles, Jen is an active industry advocate, serving as the outgoing Chair of the Insurance Information Institute's Executive Leadership Committee and a former Board member of ACORD and the IICF Midwest Division. She has received several accolades, including the Reuters Trailblazing Women in Insurance Award and the Digital Insurance Women in Leadership Award. A graduate of Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics, Jen frequently speaks at industry conferences and contributes to publications, making significant contributions to the ongoing dialogue in the insurance sector.
